Next week we will begin our CAASPP testing of all students in Math and English Language Arts and CST Testing for 8th Grade Science (See Schedule Below). This test was created with teacher input to measure how well your child has mastered the skills and content in mathematics and English language arts at his or her grade level. Students will take one take assessment per week and we will not be modifying our bell schedule.

8th Grade English Language Arts (Testing in English and History Classes)
7th Grade Math (Testing in Math and Science Classes)

7th Grade English Language Arts (Testing in Core Classes)
6th Grade Math (Testing in Math and Science Classes)

6th Grade English Language Arts (Testing in Core Classes)
8th Grade Math (Testing in Math and Science Classes)
The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress, or CAASPP, is the state’s academic testing program. CAASPP is a system intended to provide information that can be used to monitor student progress and ensure that all students leave high school ready for college and career. CAASPP includes computer adaptive assessments in English-Language Arts and mathematics for students in grades 3-8, and 11 and paper-based tests in science for students in grades 5, 8 and 10.

2016-2017 Course Catalogs

Administrators and Counselors will be coming to visit students in March to review the selection process and to pass out course cards to students. Course cards are due March 18th for current 6th and 7th graders and March 25th for 5th graders from Monte Gardens Elementary and April 15th for 5th graders from Sequoia Elementary.
